As we approach the season of thanks, let's remember those that seemingly don't have much to be thankful for. There are people out there who will not have a nice Thanksgiving dinner because they can't afford it or because they have no one to spend it with. Let's face it, a turkey TV dinner isn't exactly the same as the spread that most of us are looking forward to. Let's consider those that are less fortunate than us. It may be a good idea to donate to charity or serve at a local shelter for a day or two. But then again, do we have to wait until the holidays to do such things? People are hurting and needy all year round - not just at Thanksgiving and Christmas. I'm not saying load up the car full of homeless people and take them to your house for a sit down feast - I'm just saying let's be a little more considerate and let's try to give back to the community. Like it or not, we are living in some of the hardest times that America has known in years and years. Tragedy is all around us and people are hurting. Some of our lives seem unfazed and we are having a great and successful year. But just as many people are having the worst year they have ever had due to losses of jobs, family, or even just self esteem. Depression does seem to be the greatest during the holidays for many people. I don't want to get everyone feeling down during this time of year, but I'm just reminding you to take a minute and think of others. You may be the only Jesus that these people get to see during this holiday season.

The Matrix is real!

Has there ever been a time when you have felt so busy and stressed that you didn't know what to do? I am going through that right now. Many of you know about my past house problems. Well, it happened again at the end of October. I had a drainage backup into the lower level of my house and there was (not to gross you out) sewage involved. Well, needless to say, I had to get professional cleanup done and now they are in the middle of replacing walls and floors and painting and all that. I have had to miss work at times, I had salesmen meet at my house last week, and I am just tired of the disarray my house seems to be in. It was a mess - it seems to be getting better now though and we may actually be better off after all of the home improvements than we were before. The city has taken responsibility, so we don't pay for anything. It's kinda like a free remodeling of my house. Anyway, Lichiel and I just celebrated our third anniversary - oh yes thank you for the applause. This means smooth sailing from here right? I'm pretty excited about the end of the year and all of the festivities. The ecnd of the year especially means snowboarding - what fun that will be!! Well, since we were so late this time, this issue may be replaced by December soon, so I'll stop here. Everyone have a Happy Thanksgiving and don't eat too much!!
