Return to Stewardship!

Busy! Now that's an understate-ment! Overwellmed? Not yet, but it may not be long! Can you handle it? Somehow you always find a way! Does this sound like you? It certainly sounds like me (sometimes). No, alot of the time!!

You see we each often find ourselves in situations where we wonder if this is the end. We've finally taken on too many tasks and your mind and body are just going to shut down and it will all end in a flash!

That may be a little dramatic, but how often do we really feel the pressure of the day and ask ourselves "how am I going to finish this on time?" or "why did I say yes again?". How many times do you hear "I need this done now!", or "We have another problem and you're the only one who knows how to fix this thing!" Maybe not those same words - but if you are in the working world, you hear similar things almost every day! (and if yor are not working yet, it won't be long before you get a job and join the rest of us in "Busy Town!")

It's times like these when we need to realize how precious time is and ask ourselves if we are using it wisely!! When was the last time you relaxed? Did something for the fun of it? Like right now - reading this, not that SM is super important - but you must admit, there's no pressure!

Our lives should be pressure and worry free! Not care free - worry free! There is a difference! Worry leads to fear, and fear causes doubt! You've seen the bumper stickers that say "No Doubt" or "No Worries", how come noone's made one yet that says "No Pressure"!

Time is precious, and how we spend it is very valuable! Snap your finger. Right now - stop reading and snap your finger!

That was one second! One second gone forever! You can't take it back, you can't do it again, it's gone! How many seconds, minutes, or hours just slip by that fast? Too many! That's why we need to ask ourselves what we are using this time we have for! Is it to provide for our families? Are we helping others? Are we being productive? or Are we wasting time doing meaningless things?

Sure watching TV is fun! But isn't 7 hours a day a little much? Hey, I like the internet too, but is spending all our free time online healthy? Sorry if I just stepped on some toes! But really - what are we doing rotting in front of some screen?

I was talking about being busy and overwelmed and now I've insulted your TV. What do the two have in common? Let's just say if we stopped wasting so much time surfing (channels or the web) we would have more time to get caught up with the busy overwhelming tasks mentioned earlier, and maybe find that the time has been there all along, and we've been using it for the wrong things!
