Our 25th NFLWP Season Comes To An End!
The Super Bowl is always the goal of each NFL team and winning the Super
Bowl the goal of each player. The extreme range of emotions after the
final seconds of the game - from excitement joy to heartbreak and
sadness... Grown men crying for totally different reasons (as well as
football fans all over the world)! This too is what it's like for us
here at NFLWP as another season has come to an end! The excitement of
watching our teams play, the ups and downs throughout the season, the
playoffs and the Super Bowl... and then it's over! Crazy how quickly
another NFLWP season has come to an end!
Since 1999, this group has spent 6 months of each year together for the
past 25 years! I don't know that any of us had the foresight back when
this all started to see where it would lead, but what a fun ride it has
been all of these years! Prior to NFLWP, football was just another sport
celebrated during it's appointed time and then on to the next one. But
now, no other sport compares! Football was always my favorite, but the
past 25 years have made it even more special! I've learned more than I
ever thought I would about any sport, followed the careers of countless
players and come to care about teams I barely new existed 25 years ago -
because now, every game matters! So when that final whistle blows and
the realization hits that another season is over, part of me refuses to
let it go! (Which is why it takes me weeks to post the final update each
year!) What an honor it has been to be here with all of you for a
quarter century! Thanks for sticking with us, putting up with my
constant reminders to "Get Those Picks In" and helping to make this
first 25 years such a HUGE success! Now that this season is officially
over, the wait to do it all again begins. I don't know about you, but
I'm looking forward to the Hall of Fame game in August!!
I know this isn't the normal year end wrap up, but since you all saw the
Chiefs win their 2nd Super Bowl in a row, rather than comment about the
Super Bowl game, I wanted to do something different to start off this
final update our 25th NFLWP season. So now we can move on to the final
stats of this season!
With the majority of us picking KC to win the Super Bowl,
Julie Briggs solidified her Post
Season Challenge win and is our 2023-2024 Post Season Challenge
Champion!

At the end of our Regular Season Ken Horton

Don't forget to
mention NFL Weekly Picks in all of your social media platforms when
sharing your NFL
wisdom, or defending your team! It's the only way for us get noticed by ESPN
anymore since we no longer have regular commentary from which they can get ideas for Sports Center :-)
