"Original Thoughts Available Here!"

Final Version

Return to Music Ed. 101!

Oh my my my, this has to be the column that everyone missed the most over the past four years, right? OK maybe not. It is, however, by far the most controversial article in past issues. This is the column in which I tell you what music you should like or not like. There is no room for debate or error - my tastes are the true representation of the SM staff and I will convince you that I'm right too. If you aren't convinced of my truths then you are being deceived....no you're just WRONG. On to the reviews.

Sammy Ward - My Passion - Let's just say, because of low album sales, Brain Barrett has changed his name.

Nicole C. Mullen - Nicole C. Mullen - yeah I know, another album that is self titled. I'll never understand the unoriginal thinking behind that. Too bad, because this is a good CD. This made the black side come out of me, and I liked it. She has an emotion driven mega hit with "Redeemer" and a remix of the Jaci Velasquez hit "On My Knees", which Nicole actually wrote. You may recognize her from singing the Larry Boy Theme Song. Good stuff.

Luna Halo - Shimmer - Oh My Goodness, what is this junk?!? After talking to Nathan in mid- January, and him having said this is better than Reality Check, I had big expectations. Let's just say this is a good one to use as a coaster, frisbee, etc. I am sorry, but whatever "Luna Halo" means, to me it means "lame CD."

Tammy Trent - Set You Free - interesting how she has another CD out just in time for the come back of SM. Another great CD. She is now on a much more stable record label, and I think she will get a lot more publicity now that she is with Chordant. A reader from SM's very own mailing list, thanks for more great music.

Scarecrow and Tinmen - Superhero - Supercrap should be it's title. After looking at a horrific cover, I cracked it open to see if it was salvageable, and I was not surprised. Former superheroes Adam West and Christopher Reeve could take on these guys any day, even in the state that they are in.
