"Original Thoughts Available Here!"

Final Version

Return to Music Ed. 101!

Bebo Norman - Big Blue Sky - I was pressured into doing a review for this one, but I know many of you are Bebo fans. Let me say up front that this really isn't my style, but for what he does, he does it well. Some of you are probably letting out sighs of relief because you never know when I am going to give an album a positive or negative review. I think everything should either have an electric guitar or a hip hop beat to it, but since some things don't, I must force myself to accept it. I do, however, have a musical respect for Bebo and Andrew Peterson alike. They are two good guys and I wish them the best.

The Happy Goodmans - The Final Stand - Isn't it about time for Howard "happy" Goodman to quit? This guy is like 103 years old and I'm scared for him every time he goes on stage that he is going to fall off of his stool and meet the Creator. Then there's Vestal....oh my she thinks she has "friends" in the industry - I think they felt sorry for her and "happy" so they helped her out. She has had people like Michael W. Smith, Carman (no comment), and the Newsboys guest appearing on her albums. Oh Please. Oh yeah, Tara, this is an album review - LAME AGAIN!! Hurry up and get this one before "happy" dies, but not on my recommendation.

Superchick - Karaoke Superstar - I've heard it all regarding this one. Some people already hate the group, some people are into it, and some people are saying "who?!?" I have listened to this and in my extremely biased opinion, I like it. I like female singers and I like pop yet funky stuff. It's got a 40's feel, an alternative feel, a surfer feel - it's all here. I'm a fan of the Barlow girls.

The Oak Ridge Boys - From the Heart - You know, there really is no comment necessary here. You already know what I'm going to say...a Christian album? Yeah I hear P. Diddy (a.k.a. Puff Daddy; a.k.a. Sean Combs; a.k.a. the artist formerly known as "Puffy") has a gospel album coming out too. Is it now popular to have an inspirational CD? Does it give you better moral value in the secular world? I'm not judging these guys in their spiritual walk, but why now, when every other secular star in the world is doing it? The only thing cool about these guys is the dude with the long beard...my hero.
