Return to Extremeness! Greetings to all of my faithful readers! And to those who are just browsing, stick around for a while and read my thoughts. I always try to have a deep thought or spiritual tidbit here that I feel God is telling me to share with everyone. Tonight my morsel deals with living your life as an example. People can tell a lot about you just by watching you - and people are watching! What kind of life are you living for these people? Do you change when you are around certain people - either for the better or for the worse? This is not living an honest lifestyle. If you are doing things that aren't pleasing to God - you shouldn't be doing them. I'm writing this both for you and for myself. I think that this is an important thing and that God is wanting His people to be Holy in their lifestyles. What kind of a message are you portraying to others? Think about this always - and if you take time to look around sometimes, you may notice that people are watching and maybe they aren't impressed with what they see. Overall - just strive to be like Jesus. Lots of wonderful things going on these days isn't there? The world is moving so fast and things seem to change almost daily! I have gotten into a lot of these reality shows lately. I like watching Survivor, The Mole, The Real World, Fear Factor and sometimes even Big Brother 2. Now I get two more to watch - Lost and The Amazing race. Overall, these are really good shows except when they go overboard with some of the language or subject matter - I find it amusing how people interact with each other and what some people will do to get on TV. But I suppose a lot of it is for the money. Hey for that matter, don't be surprised if you see me on one of these shows soon. Well, I'll leave you with a couple of last thoughts - please visit and post to our message board. No offense to anyone, but it has gone through a stale period lately and I'd like to see it become just jam packed with messages - and check back often during the month to see all of the new posts. Don't worry about how dumb you think your post may be - just post it anyway! And the last thing, the following is another quick but funny story that I read lately: One afternoon, a wealthy lawyer was riding in the back of his limousine when he saw two men eating grass by the road side. He ordered his driver to stop and he got out to investigate. "Why are you eating grass?" he asked one man. "We don't have any money for food," the poor man replied. "Oh, come along with me then," instructed the lawyer. "But, sir, I have a wife and two children!" "Bring them along!" replied the lawyer. He turned to the other man and said, "Come with us." "But sir, I have a wife and six children!" the second man answered. "Bring them as well!" answered the lawyer as he headed for his limo. They all climbed into the car, which was no easy task, even for a car as large as the limo. Once underway, one of the poor fellows says, "Sir, you are too kind. Thank you for taking all of us with you." The lawyer replied, "No problem, the grass at my home is almost a foot tall." |
