Worth of My Vote
Oh my goodness!! [Was the 2000] election messed up or what!?!? I
mean, we have a winner, then we don't, then we do, then we don't. [W]e
have a man in the lead but it's being contested.
And they [kept]
throwing out all these numbers. 270 needed to win. Gore leads popular
vote by 200,000. Bush leads Florida by 900. Numbers everywhere! But
there is only one number that matters to me. 2.
"Ben," I hear you
all saying, "why does 2 matter? That doesn't have anything to do with
the election." You are all correct. Please allow me to explain.
Two years ago my
life was spinning. I couldn't tell which direction I was facing. I was
dazed and confused. But then it happened. The day finally came when it
all stopped.
Ok, ok, I can hear
you all mumbling for me to hurry it up. And I can tell you are all on
the edge of your seats, wondering what is so important about 2 years
ago...so here it goes.
