"Wanted: Someone with a brain."
AAAAHHHH, Autumn. Baseball playoffs. Football begins. Hockey preseason.
Basketball preseason. School begins again. Summer Olympics???
Yeah...I knew
something didn't quite fit this year. I understand that they are in the
southern hemisphere and so their seasons are bit off from ours.
So, I guess it's
cool to have had them this late. But I do have a couple of complaints to
lodge. Where's that blasted suggestion box?
I'm sorry, but
this whole deal of nary a second of the Sydney games being live is
absolutely ridiculous. Only NBC is moronic enough to come up with such a
half-witted idea. There were plenty of events that were taking place in
the morning in the of the Aborigine, when at the same time it was "Prime
Time" in the land of the free and the home of the Mets. There was
nothing more infuriating then reading ESPN.com on my break at work and
then going home and watching Bob Costas hype up an event that would have
been more of an on-the-edge-of-your-seat-nail-biter if it had been live
instead of Memorex. It's bad enough that they already do a lousy job with
the NBA, and the 3 games of Major League Baseball that they broadcast a
year. And thank the Lord that they no longer screw up the NFL. But why,
please someone tell me why, did they have to make such an idiot mistake
like the way the covered the Olympics? And to think we have to deal with
this for like the next 15 years or whatever. I don't think I can handle
it. I guess SM will have to send a correspondent to the winter games in
Salt Lake City...
